How can I feel the blessings of God in life?

 Try and count your blessings.

One way to do that is to check the news which reports tragedies from all around the world. Visit hospitals, institutions for the mental challenged, old age homes and hospices. Visit law courts and prisons. Visit impoverished and drought stricken areas. Visit war torn areas and refugee camps. Visit graveyards and crematoriums. Research how many people have died young from wars, famines, disease, accidents, riots, murder, natural disasters and ruthless dictators. Check literacy levels around the world, how many incurable diseases there are, and places where the nearest doctor is miles away down dirt tracks.

Basically look for people who are worse off than you are. I’ve mentioned a few but there are many more. Rape victims, abused children, the homeless, victims of discrimination or injustice, and on and on. Remember that approx 7,500 people die every hour, and you (so far) aren’t one of them. The simple fact that you understand God exists is itself a blessing. If you use whatever is at your disposal for His service, you will feel even more blessed.

Sri Krishna says:

Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, and whatever austerities you perform—do that, O son of Kunti, as an offering to Me. Bhagavad Gita 9.27.
